Overview:
We are taking our very well received Multiplication Workshop (Grade 1-7) on a National Road show to 24 Venues nationwide.

Multiplication is a very controversial topic as many people feel strongly about how it should be taught.

Workshop content and outcomes:
In this session we are going to show you ways to help learners to build an understanding of the process and properties of multiplication, using the CRA instructional approach (Concrete – Representative – Abstract) and eLearning techniques. Our main focus will be to teach learners by using a visual model that represents multiplication arrays.

Participants will receive a CD with eLearning resources which will be useful for teaching multiplication. These will include videos, simulations and assessments.

Assessment and award of certificate:

Participants that complete the eLearning programme on SAeCampus will be awarded a certificate of competency.

Cost These packed 2 hour workshops will cost R240 per teacher, BUT we have secured Parrot Products to sponsor the full cost for the first 2000 teachers.

No ID is required and no age limit - the event is open for all with interest in Maths education.
