What makes a place? How is it imbued with personal and communal meaning? How does urbanisation and globalisation affect place and what might future places look and feel like?
Kim Hill discusses these questions and many more with Kevin Sweeney, Bill Macnaught and Stephen McDougall.

BIG DATA DISCUSSION PANEL SERIES
This panel discussion series is a collaboration between the National Library and the Royal Society of New Zealand and is chaired by Kim Hill. The discussions will be recorded by National Radio New Zealand and broadcast the following fortnight.
Big Data is an exhibition running at the newly re-opened National Library until end of April. It examines the nature and implication of big data, especially in relation to the concept of place and how it might serve as a tool in facing the challenges of the current era. The discussion panel series is supporting this exhibition.
