Imagine a future Kapiti which attracted smart “knowledge-based” employees who could work out of the city, but with city grade connectivity; who could enjoy all the benefits of a thriving and connected environmentally sustainable community; who lived in environmentally sustainable, secure homes; that was keeping healthcare costs low and which delivering technologies which allowed the elderly freedom to live in their own homes or retirement villages. Kapiti is, and would remain a fun place to live.

The Kapiti Digital Leadership Forum (DLF) provides a framework to enable the raising of awareness of the benefits of digital connectivity in a growth economy. This is the vision that inspired the establishment of the DLF in Kapiti following the Mayoral celebration for the Kapiti Ultra Fast Broadband rollout, and a presentation from Chorus and Crown Fibre Holdings in 2013.
