It has been home to Aboriginal people for more than 65,000 years.A place of immense biodiversity, Kakadu is home to 2,000 plant species, around one-third of all Australian bird species and about one-fifth of all Australian mammals.The park is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List for both its natural and cultural values.
