Economic upheaval is a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many employers are facing the difficult and challenging position of potential restructuring that may lead to redundancies.

This half day course provides a step-by-step guide to initiating a restructure and following a proper process that complies with legal obligations.

We will consider what constitutes “genuine reasons” for restructuring and redundancy decisions. Find out what is required to justify a decision for restructuring and redundancies, and alternatives to such proposals, such as through Government assistance.

Learn how to navigate through a restructuring process that requires a full understanding of your legal responsibilities.

We will take you through the necessary steps to restructure your business, including considering options such as redeployment. We will consider relevant case law decisions and current issues relating to COVID-19.

Discover how to help staff affected by restructuring, such as through career transitioning.

If you want to find out how to navigate restructuring in your organisation, join presenter and employment lawyer Julia Shallcrass on this interactive half day course.

Attendees will receive a workbook including activities and can ask questions virtually during the live seminar.
