This workshop is tailored to Psychologists with postgraduate level training in behaviour analysis, who are supporting tamariki and their family/whānau.

We'll cover the broad range of considerations for working with eating difficulties, including:

-Eating safety and multi-disciplinary involvement

-Conducting a thorough behaviour-analytic assessment

-Current approaches to intervention

-Considerations for home, school, and clinic settings

-How to build ongoing competency in this area


Eating difficulties can be complex and highly varied. This workshop will largely focus on eating difficulties typically termed as fussy/picky eating, selective eating, and those diagnosed as ARFID. We will also acknowledge that many tamariki with eating challenges are neurodiverse.

There will be 3 x BACB Continuing Education Units available for this workshop.
