Head to Dunedin this Spring for a southern-style 'refresh and refuel' at the 2019 Educate Plus NZ 'Switched-On and Savvy' Conference!

About this Event


Members can apply or be nominated for one of 10 x $500 and 10 x $250 Conference Travel Grants. If you wish to apply for one of these grants, please complete this form before Wednesday 31 July. Successful grant recipients will be advised by email during the week of 5th August. Please note that any applicant or nominee must be a current Educate Plus NZ member.

The Programme for the 2019 Educate Plus NZ "Switched-On and Savvy" Conference has been tailored to provide you with a selection of speakers and topics guaranteed to deliver relevant, relatable, switched-on savviness!

We're excited to showcase an inspiring selection of speakers who have each been carefully selected for their specific areas of expertise and experience, and for their ability to relate to YOU, our members. Speakers at the 2019 "Switched-On and Savvy" Conference will definitely "get" the daily challenges you face and rewards you chase because they've walked plenty of miles in similar shoes to yours!

Three sessions on Day 1 have been split into three concurrent "Streams" giving you the opportunity to choose sessions most relevant to your role or current project interests.

The range of accommodation options close to The Dunedin Centre isn't extensive - mostly hotels rather than motels. If you don't mind a 10 min taxi ride or a brisk 20 min walk (or a 7-10 min Lime Scooter ride!), there is a broad selection of accommodations on George St - something suitable for all budgets including shared unit options.

Some of the online booking platforms don't have a promo code facility - you will need to resort to email or a good old fashioned phone call!

Central City options - 5-10min stroll to The Dunedin Centre

  • Kingsgate Hotel Dunedin, 10 Smith St. Across the road from the venue. This (rather tired!) hotel is the closest accommodation to The Dunedin Centre (5 min walk max).
