Recreation Aotearoa in close partnership with Perry Outdoor Education Trust would like to invite you to the Waikato Outdoors Hui 2019

Waikato Region Outdoor Hui - Friday 20th September 2019

An invite to organisations and interest groups who work in the outdoors. An excellent opportunity to meet and greet. A hui to understand and discuss what is happening at a local and national level. Receive a full briefing on current issues and actions such as the Outdoor Active Recreation Strategy and Education Reviews happening at secondary and tertiary levels. A time to connect around on-going aspects of our mahi such as SMS, Workforce, Access & Funding.

1. Outdoor & Active Recreation Strategy Development. An opportunity to be part of the early stage development of our sector’s strategy based on the Living Standards Framework

2. Outdoor unit standard review. A workshop where your experience of working with unit standards can possibly shape the future of vocational pathways and training.

3.00 pm Drinks & Nibbles Networking

4.00 pm Finish

You are welcome to extend the invite to other relevant contacts you consider would benefit and contribute to our mahi.

We expect local council, Sport Waikato outdoor providers, educators & possibly teachers. Plus funders and other relevant stakeholders.

If you don’t think you are the right person in your organisation to be coming along please don’t hesitate in forwarding to the appropriate person/people.

Parking Information

During office hours Trust Waikato have only seven car parks available next door at 2 London Street marked TW 1-7. This is the only FREE parking available for groups and is available on a first-in first-served basis. If there is no parking left, they will need to find an alternative.

Please do not park in the spaces for 'Volunteering Waikato', 'Graeme Dingle', 'Trust House visitor', or 'Trust Waikato Staff' these are all reserved and are not available during office hours.

There is 2 hours free parking on the street, and Wilson’s parking is located on 289 Barton St, a 5 minute walk away. We appreciate your cooperation with this.

Other options to look into are: 308 Barton St, Centre Place Parking 61 Bryce St, 461 Anglesea St, 7 Alma St and walk along the river trail to the Trust.
