Description

On behalf of the Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club (TOMCC) New Zealand Incorporated, the Canterbury branch will be hosting the World Association of Triumph Owners Clubs (WATOC) Rally of the Year for 2019 combined with the 25th TOMCC NZ National Rally.

The venue has been booked in the picturesque alpine village of Hanmer Springs, North Canterbury which is renowned for its natural hot pools and stunning landscapes. Hanmer Springs is located 90 minutes drive from Christchurch and is at the gateway to some of the best riding roads in the South Island.

Your ticket price includes:

  • On-site dormitory accommodation and tent sites are available
  • Live band on Friday and Saturday nights
  • Rally badges
  • Access to the bike show
  • Organised ride on Saturday.

Food and beverages will be available at the rally with gluten free options. A rally shirt is available for pre-ordering with your registration and other TOMCC memorabilia will be available at the rally.

Dormitory accommodation is available. Preference will be given to the overseas visitors and North Island members and this will be allocated on a first-in basis so register early! There are also plenty of tent sites available.

Pre and post rally rides are being organised and details will be published as they come to hand. Refer to the TOMCC NZ website for details of any organised rides to and from the rally.

For those of you travelling from overseas here is some information of the requirements to bring your bike into NZ:

Bike preparation (Pre shipping)

1. All bikes must be runners and road worthy in their own country.

2. All bikes must have at least 1 rear view mirror.

3. Ensure all lights and brakes work and that tyres have good tread depth.

4. All bikes must be shipped with minimal oil and petrol (Only enough petrol for a 20km trip).

5. Ensure there are no fluid leaks before shipping.

NZ has strict bio-security rules (MAF)

1. All bikes must be meticulously clean before shipping.

2. No bugs, leaves or any bio matter including dirt in tyre treads or the bikes will be rejected and additional cleaning costs and delays will apply.

3. Absolutely no food items at all. Not even if in a sealed can or plastic container.

4. All pannier or carry bags must be removed from the bikes before shipping. They can still be transported in the container, but separate from the bikes.

FAQs

Why does my printed ticket not show the extras that I have ordered such as meals and shirts?

Your ticket is your entry into the event. You will have received an email from Eventbrite that has an 'Order Summary' that will show what extras you ordered, if any. We suggest that you print this email as a record of your order.

When does the rally start?

The site will be open from 12 noon on Friday, 22 February 2019 but we are not guaranteed access to the rooms until after 2pm on the Friday.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There are no age limits to enter the event but restrictions will apply regarding the sale of alcohol.

What's the refund policy?

Sorry, no refunds.

Are pets allowed?

No. The site has a very strict NO PETS policy; this includes dogs being left in vehicles.

Can I BYO?

No BYO alcohol is to be brought on site. There is an on-site bar for alcohol purchases

Is glass allowed?

Strictly no glass containers are to be brought on site.

Am I allowed to smoke on the property?

The Hanmer Springs Forest Camp has a no-smoking policy. NO SMOKING IS PERMITTTED INSIDE ANY BUILDING. Smoking is permitted in the clearly designated areas of the site.

Anyone found to breach this policy will be asked to leave immediately with no refund and a cleaning fee will be charged.
