About the workshop
Experience Unleash Space's Maker Space by attending this 2 hour workshop!
You will be introduced to different tools and equipment and learn the basics of 3D printing, laser cutting, and vinyl cutting!
Talk to our knowledgeable Creative Technologists about how you can make the most of the Maker Space for your personal projects and get inspired by seeing and hearing about other students' projects!
The workshop will be run as a free-for-all where you can pick and choose which pieces of equipment you would like to learn to use.
Please ensure you are wearing close-toed shoes and any hair below shoulder-length is tied back before entering the space.
NOTE:
This workshop does not require prior knowledge or use of the Maker Space, however if you would like to use the space during our regular operational hours, we encourage that you complete our online Canvas module and Orientation for New Members .
Unleash Space's Maker Space is for creative curiosity, capacity building and innovation. It is free for all students and staff at the University of Auckland. Find a full list of what we have to offer below:

What are create and make workshops?
Fun, entry-level create and make workshops are designed for the beginner or those looking to get creative in an enjoyable, interactive environment. Turn up, have a great time, and leave with new skills, a creation of your own making and some new friends.
All are welcome to attend create and make workshops – you do not need Access to the Create and Maker Space to join this workshop. Although… once you’ve experienced one of our workshops, you’ll want to sign up.
By registering for this event/workshop you grant the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship full rights to use the images from any photography/video footage for publicity and education purposes. This may include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, coursework presentations, social media, and press releases. If you do not wish to be photographed please inform an event organiser.
