The NZ ICS Cyber Technical Network will be running the 2025 NZ ICS/OT Cyber Summit on the 26th November in New Plymouth, NZ (in person only)

Come along to engage with experts in ICS Cyber Security.

  • ICS/OT Cyber Security Engineers, Architects, Consultants etc.
  • Cyber Security Managers, Leaders, CISOs working in Industrial Organisations

Location: The Devon Hotel, 390 Devon Street East, New Plymouth 4312, NZ

Date: Wednesday, 26th November 2025

Time: 08:30-17:00 followed by drinks & nibbles

The current summit agenda includes:

  • ~08:30 – Doors open, reg, opening
  • ~09:15 – Opening keynote
  • ~10:00 – Three talks sequentially (plenary)
  • ~13:00 – Three talks concurrently (streams)
  • ~13:35 – Three panels concurrently (streams)
  • ~14:20 – Eleven round tables concurrently
  • ~15:35 – Afternoon Panel
  • ~16:05 – Closing keynote
  • ~17:00 – Drinks and nibbles

NZ ICS/OT Cyber Summit SANS Scholarship

At the NZ ICS/OT Cyber Summit, the SANS Institute will be awarding one complementary SANS course to a deserving member of the NZ ICS/OT security community.The scholarship will be awarded to a meritorious individual who has made a significant contribution to their NZ industrial organisation and/or the broader NZ ICS/OT security community. This form is to collect nominations.The submissions will be judged, and a recipient will be selected by a panel of judges. The scholarship will be given away in person at the NZ ICS/OT Cyber Summit in New Plymouth. The judges reserve the right to validate nominators and/or nominees. The judges' decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Submissions close Tuesday 18th November 2025 at 17:00 NZT. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Is this the first NZ ICS/OT Cyber Summit?

No. SGS ECL's OT Cyber team (eclcyber.co.nz) ran ICS Cyber Security Summits in 2017 and 2018. The NZ ICS Cyber TN was formed following the 2018 Summit and hosted the Rotorua summit in 2019. After a COVID break, the NZ ICS Cyber TN have hosted the Summit in New Plymouth since 2023

What other events do the NZ ICS Cyber TN run?

The NZ ICS Cyber Technical Network have held hybrid and virtual events since 2019 Q1. To date, there have been >50 presentations to NZ ICS/OT Security practitioners since the group was formed by SGS ECL and SANS ICS. For more information, see https://icscyber.org.nz or email info@icscyber.org.nz

Why is the NZ ICS/OT Cyber Summit in-person only?

The aim of the NZ ICS Cyber TN is to build, grow, and mature the community of NZ ICS/OT security practitioners. By making the summit in-person only, it allows better engagement, stronger community ties, and deeper sharing than would be possible in a more open (semi-public) forum.
