What’s the essence of your research?
Every researcher should know how to present a clear, concise, yet engaging description of their research project. Can you do it in three minutes?
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition is an academic competition that challenges Doctoral and Masters students to describe their research within three minutes to a general audience using only a single static slide.
3MT celebrates the discoveries made by students and encourages their skill in communicating the importance of research to the broader community.
Entries are now open!
Who can participate:
The Business School’s Doctoral students and Masters students (undertaking 90 points or more research) are invited to present their research at the 3MT faculty heats at Decima Glenn on Friday 8 July. One winner from each will then go on to compete in the University final.
Student presentations will be evaluated by a panel of judges that will award a first place prize of $400 and a runner up prize of $100 in each category.
Doctoral students in their provisional year are also invited to participate this year to gain experience and further develop their communication skills. They will not be considered for the position in the University final, nor eligible for the grand prize. They will receive feedback from judges and be eligible for the provisional prize valued at $250.
