About this Event
Let’s look back to look forward!
Fake news, rampant stock markets, giddy excess, spectacular innovation, discord, and a world ravaged by disease and strife … the 1920s and 2020s (so far) share common ground.
We face a pandemic spread via mass transport, questioning of truths once held dear, a geo-political shift from West to East, and an economy sustained by credit, and hydrocarbon. And of course, we face the looming challenge of climate change and the collective need to address global warming or live in a much less hospitable world.
Where will it all land?
In this Diplosphere panel discussion, our speakers will explore – the economy, environment, innovation & geo-politics of the 2020s, and use the lens of the 1920s to explore lessons to be had, and even gaze into a crystal ball on potential outcomes.
