Agri-Food Research Network Conference 2019

Sessions will engage with current issues relating to agriculture, food, and society exploring both the imminent horizon (or re-territorialisation) of agri-food theory and the intensely local and empirical. Keynote speakers will address food packaging - Professor Emerita Anne Murcott (SOAS) and indigenous foodways - Dr. John Reid (Ngai Tahu Research Centre). A full-day field trip (1 Dec) will examine the implications of dairy intensification in the Te Waihora/ Lake Ellesmere catchment. Stops will include on-farm conservation associated with Ngai Tahu and Environment Canterbury co-governance, Lincoln University’s research farms and a local winery. An evening field trip (2 Dec) will visit Cultivate and Ōtākoro Orchard in the CBD. Registration As well as full price and student registration we are offering a Day Registration.
