Event description
Some of the finest music producers in the country imparting their skills and knowledge across Aotearoa.

About this event

The Aotearoa Music Producer Series (AMPS) launched in 2017 and has become an integral part of upskilling Aotearoa’s production sector. In 2020 we introduced the AMPS music producer workshops - a series of 10 one-day production seminars featuring Aotearoa’s finest producers and held at Roundhead Studios in Auckland. In 2022 we're delighted to be extending the programme to include an additional 11 centres around the country.

The AMPS Workshop days will feature an acclaimed local producer who, during the morning session, will discuss their careers to date and the skills they've aquired. The afternoon sessions will include a breakdown of their multi-track recordings. These moderated workshops offer a unique space for discussion, producer Q&A’s as well as networking within the producer community.

Please note : Every workshop will feature a different producer, so participants are welcome to sign up for each day. Producers will be announced in the lead up to each event.

We'll also be providing a video presentation from Recorded Music NZ, APRA and the MPG NZ / Aotearoa to clarify producer and songwriter royalties along with information on additional income streams.
