About this Event

An Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation 4-week course. Each class is one hour, once per week. This course is practical, non-religious and designed for beginners. The course includes

YOUR FACILITATOR IS CARISSA BROWN

Kia Ora. My name is Carrissa Brown.

I am passionate about all forms of natural healing, energy and its inter-dimensional power. I am of Maori descent and have practised many forms of healing through Massage / Mirimiri most of my life; aromatherapy, reflexology, Swedish massage, deep tissue, relaxation, sports massage, including Maori Healing, and th more ancient practice Kaha Ra Mirimiri, using hot stones and sound and working at a cellular level to help release and recalibrate cellular memory, releasing traumatic emotional triggers.

I am passionate about Meditation and its importance in everyday life, in staying balanced, centred and safe. Becoming an observer of my own innerness has been one of the biggest learnings and healings of my journey to date and is ongoing. The daily practice of meditation helped me to find freedom from depression and PTSD. I feel honoured to have this opportunity to share this practice with others, to help them, as I helped myself, to remember how to be still, to be present, to be kind to oneself. Knowing firsthand how powerful it is for people to understand this process for their own wellbeing and that of their families.

I have completed training in other methodologies of meditation —Transcendental Meditation, Beautiful State. So when the opportunity to become a part of the Mindfulness Works team, it absolutely felt 100% meant to be. I am really excited to have the opportunity to work with and share the freedom of nothingness, clarity, absolute LOVE, and did I say FREEDOM?
