Description

In 2017, Andrew Patterson became the latest architect to receive the NZIA Gold Medal. The award acknowledges his outstanding record of design achievement over the past 25 years. In that time, Andrew has won 20 national-level architecture awards for projects including Site 3, Cumulus and Stratis in Auckland, the Michael Hill Golf Clubhouse and AJ Hackett Bungy Centre in Queenstown, the Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre and Annandale Farm in Canterbury, the Lodge at Kinloch Club in the central North Island, and the New Zealand Pavilion at the 2012 Frankfurt Book Fair. Andrew is also the architect of the Len Lye Centre, the new gallery which has made New Plymouth a destination for architectural tourism. In 2018 Andrew will talk about his work in a series of presentations around New Zealand:
