Get hands on with the Aquavan! Learn about crab feeding and defensive strategies, then meet some marine critters at our mobile touch tank.

About this event

Our local marine species have some amazing adaptations for surviving along the wet and wild Otago coast! Get hands on with the Aquavan and staff from the NZ Marine Studies Centre, learning about crab feeding strategies and how they protect themselves. Then meet some marine critters at our mobile touch tank! Suitable for children 4-8 years old.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is happening at different locations on different dates. Please ensure you select tickets for the correct date and location.

Tuesday 13 July and Wednesday 14 July: South Dunedin Library (199 Hillside Road, South Dunedin 9012)

Thursday 15 July and Friday 16 July: Mosgiel Library (7 Hartstonge Avenue, Mosgiel 9024)

Due to limited capacity, all attendees (children and their accompanying adult(s)) need a ticket. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
