Hui outcomes -
- Identify the challenges and opportunities for Māori Land Trusts to achieve their aspirations to assist their whānau members into affordable, intergeneration, healthy, safe, durable and sustainable housing in a whānau environment on their whenua.
- To develop long-term strategic relationships with key Crown agencies that are involved addressing Māori housing needs.
Ara Rau Tangata is an innovative and new forum for the Western Bay of Plenty led by Māori for Māori showcasing Māori solutions for Māori living.
The conference will provide an opportunity to share knowledge, skills and experiences about Māori land and Māori planning, to achieve their aspirations for their whenua/whanau in the future planning of the Western Bay.
Ara Rau Tangata is a series of solutions-based conferences where an open and forward-thinking forum can generate discussion about future living in the Western Bay of Plenty and to determine for themselves what they want and how they can achieve it
The conference will provide an environment where participants have the opportunity to access quality information; create supportive networks and provide an atmosphere that encourages ideas, enthusiasm and hope.
