Description

Marking the 150th anniversary of composer Rossini’s death, the University of Auckland Chamber Choir celebrates his work with a performance of his Petite messe solennelle, in a free concert at St Matthew-in-the-City.

The performance will feature celebrated soloists Dr Morag Atchison and Catrin Johnsson of the School of Music, special guests alumni Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua and James Harrison, and current DMA student Eddie Giffney on accordion.

The soloists and choir are joined by Dance Studies Lecturer Sarah Knox to direct movement for this unique performance.
