About this event
Want to get out and explore the many amazing inner-city cycle paths (including some newly opened ones), with the option to ride an E-bike?
Thanks to Auckland Transport, Got To Get Out is hosting a series of rides, walks & hikes to showcase the city's best trails and paths and to get Aucklanders fit & connected.
We hope this event will give you confidence and inspire more of our community to consider walking or riding to work / school / play, to make Auckland a healthier happier city.
*************************************************
These collaborative rides are FREE (excluding bike hire) and include everything you would expect from a guided GTGO experience; including expert leaders, first aid, route planning, korero and useful information shared during the day.
Please book a ticket to help us manage numbers, and invite your friends and whanau to join in too!
DETAILS
For this FREE guided group ride, we will start under the Harbour Bridge (outside AJ Hackett Auckland Bridge Bungy & Climb) then will ride through Westhaven, through the newly open Quay Street, Tamaki Drive, Project Wave and other inner city cycle-ways back to the starting point.
This event suits people who are fit enough to ride approximately 20km (3-4 hours constant riding, at our usual pace).
Grab an E-bike if you want an extra boost!
E-bikes are available for hire for a small fee. Please book your E-bike at the ticketing check-out.
Note: AT are offering free HOP cards to people who take public transport to meet us in the morning (or to get home!)
You will need to 'sign in' using Got To Get Out's risk disclosure form (www.gottogetout.com/check-in) before arrival.
