As part of the Waves of Change exhibition for LA Design Festival 2025, Autex Acoustics® welcomes the HOK Los Angeles team for an afternoon of future-focused discussion exploring the evolving needs of today’s workplace.

Join us in the ARTrium for a presentation and Q&A unpacking how industry leaders see neurodiversity, sensory inclusion, and sustainable materials reshaping the built environment–and how design can rise to meet the moment.

Nambi Gardener

Senior Consultant, HOK Los Angeles


Nambi is a passionate consulting design strategist, interior designer, and advocate for innovative, inclusive and sustainable design.

Throughout her 15 year career in design she has helped guide clients through workplace transformation, facilities strategy, space guidelines, occupancy planning, and interior design, adaptable reuse, and prototype/pilot projects across the corporate, tech, higher education and government sectors.

As a consulting strategist she is skilled in visioning and workshop facilitation, survey development, programming, and data analytics. She grounds user research with business drivers to ensure project success from pre-design through construction.


Meng Gong

Sustainable Design Leader, HOK Los Angeles


Meng Gong is a Sustainable Design Leader with expertise in sustainable high performance design, sustainable integration of master planning and lighting design. She has extensive experience in net zero energy and building life-cycle assessments, ESG portfolio management as well as LEED, WELL, Fitwel and Living Future certifications. She regularly leads the collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects in the Healthcare, Higher Education, Hospitality, Corporate, Residential, Retail, Entertainment and master planning markets.

Active in the design community, Meng serves in IWBI as WELL Faculty and Adviser. She is also an active member in USGBC and the GREENBUILD Advisory Board. In the academic field, Meng is a lecturer on sustainability and the built environment at California State University, Long Beach. Meng aligns HOK’s sustainability practice with triple-bottom-line: impact mitigation for the environment; health, wellness and equity for occupants; and project profitability for our clients.

This is an indoor event, held on Floor 5 of the ARTrium in Downtown LA.

Will there be parking?

RSVP includes parking reimbursement. Multiple paid parking lots are available nearby–Joe’s Auto Parks at 839 S. Hill St and 916 S. Hill St; Paragon lot directly across from the Atrium Building. Ride-share is encouraged when possible.
