Join us for a FREE day of workshops focusing on how families can support children with autism. Some general content can be applied across all age groups. These workshops are for families/whānau and are not intended as Professional Development and parents/caregivers will be prioritised for attendance.
The different fun and interactive workshops will start at 9.30 am (registrations open from 9 am) and finish at 4.15 pm. A number of the presenters themselves live with autism and speak from lived experience.
Topics will include Executive functioning, Being authentically autistic, Verbal and non-verbal communication, Self-care, Sensory needs, Kids can do well if they can and Q&A time with the presenters.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This Family Whānau Training Day is proudly brought to you by Altogether Autism in partnership with WBOP autism service providers' group Spectrum Collective - Takiwā`tanga - proudly supported by SociaLink.
