Bachelor of Education Teaching Auckland City Interviews (2024 Intake)

You can only book for 1 interview. If multiple interviews are booked, we will refer to the first booking and cancel the rest.

Please ensure before booking an interview:

1. You have accepted your offer of place

2. You should have, by the time of your interview, provided at least one of your references and met literacy and numeracy requirements, otherwise, we will need to reschedule your interview.

Online interviews (ZOOM): Online interviews will be done via ZOOM so please make sure you download the App prior to the interview and check that your camera is working and can be turned on for the interview. The details of the interview will be sent you to a few days before the interview.

About the Interview: This is a group interview with 3-4 applicants per interview. You will be interviewed by 2-3 interviewers who are academic staff and current teachers/sector representatives.

The interview will last for 30 minutes. Please arrive at the campus or the online interview room 15 minutes prior.

You will be assessed on your communication skills, awareness of child safety, and knowledge and awareness of Education issues in New Zealand, as well as personal attributes considered by the University to be important for those wishing to pursue teaching.

Please note:

• I t is strongly recommended you organise a visit to a school/centre prior to your interview. Make an appointment with a school or centre based on the level that is most applicable to the programme for which you are applying.
• You cannot change the time you have booked before contacting us first. If you rebook for a later date instead of contacting us, we will cancel the later date and you will need to attend the original time you booked for.
• If you are unable to attend your interview please contact us as soon as possible
• If you do not attend your interview and make no contact, your application for this programme could be declined.
