Event description
Will you and your loved ones be ready when disaster strikes?

About this event

Recent extreme weather events have highlighted the importance for us all to be ready should a disaster strike our area.

Come along to this interactive workshop where Kathy O'Neill from the New Zealand Red Cross will take us through the Be Good and Ready initiative.

Kate White from Connecting Mid Canterbury will follow, sharing stories of how the TimeBank is helping people to connect and care for each other, enabling them to be good and ready for disasters and lead more enriched everyday lives.

Afternoon tea will be provided at this free event - so please register for catering purposes.

There will be time to ask questions about the NZ Red Cross and both the TimeBank and Keep Learning initiatives of Connecting Mid Canterbury. You'll also have the chance to learn more about volunteering, how to get involved in helping your community and future training available, if that's for you.
