Event description

Description

Do you have your reusable bags and keep cup sorted and wonder what else you can do to help look after the environment? If you're keen to take the next step towards an eco-friendly lifestyle, this is the event for you! We'll spend the evening discussing ways to lighten our impact on the world through our daily habits.

Locals Hannah O'Malley, Ben Bushell, Kat Willcocks and Tim Morozgalski will take you on a whirlwind tour of plant-based eating, composting, waste reduction and organic gardening.

You'll learn:

> How to make more sustainable food choices

> How to compost like a boss

> Simple tips for reducing waste

> Why organic gardening is fun & can save you money!

Nibbles will be on offer on arrival and prizes given away during the event, including:

+ A 3hr Private 4WD Guided Tour Of The Brook Sanctuary (up to 4 people)

+ A raised garden bed full of beautiful compost ready to grow nutritious food

+ 3 months free compost collection (for a household within the Nelson region)

+ A 12 Week Online Subscription To Ridiculously Good Recipes

+ A box of seasonal, organic veges + delivery to Nelson/Stoke/Richmond courtesy of Fresh2U Organic Food Delivery

+ 2 x 1L Jars of Pic's Peanut Butter (Smooth or Crunchy, in refillable glass jars!)

+ Compostable SPRUCE cloths by the Green Collective

Following these four short talks and Q&A, you'll come away with ideas and renewed energy to make a difference for the planet and all those living on it. See you there!
