Bhante Kavidhaja: Calmness and Insight
Overview
Bhante Kavidhaja has kindly accepted an invitation to lead a session and speak about mindfulness and loving-kindness at Te Piringa - Faculty of Law, University of Waikato. This in-person event will be held at Room 4.14 (this is the tearoom where attendees for previous talks have met to have refreshments). Staff, students and interested members of the public are welcome!
The quiet sitting session, talk, and QnA, will run for up to about 60 mins, and then attendees will be invited to join in for tea and coffee.
Bhante Kavidhaja was born in the Czech Republic. He was ordained as a Samanera by Sayadaw U Thuzana of Burma in MBMC Penang, Malaysia. He received Bhikkhu ordination from Ven Pemasiri Thera at Sumathipala Arana, Kanduboda, Sri Lanka. He visited and subsequently resided at Vimutti Buddhist Monastery (Bombay-Mangatāwhiri, Auckland) in 2023 and has observed three 'Rains Retreat' (Vassa) at Vimutti since then.

There is no charge or fee for this event which is organised freely for the local community and general public. Registrations are requested from attendees for venue planning purposes.
