Strong Community Organisations Require Effective Boards. Board Matters aims to assist this.
The second of a four part series of networking and professional development evenings for non-profit governance members, with the remaining sessions held fortnightly. You are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.
Facilitated by Manawatu Community Law Centre, each 90 minute session begins with light refreshments and the opportunity to network.
Featuring a panel including Rodger McLeod of Mash Trust and Billie Stanley, BDO Manawatu, the session will discuss how Boards' can ensure that their services are not only financial sustainable but high quality and meeting their purpose. This includes not only ensuring good systems, but having board members who can read financial reports and understand evidence and evaulation.
Board Matters sessions are open to everyone on the governance board of an incorporated society or charitable trust, big or small. This includes, sports clubs, service & hobby groups, arts & cultural groups, ethnic and special interest groups and social service organisations.
