Celebrate mana wāhine! Join Qiane Matata-Sipu and friends at the launch of her brand new book, 'NUKU: Stories of 100 Indigenous Women'.
About this event
The NUKU book launch brings the words “Mā hine, mō hine, kia hine” to life with an all-wāhine line-up of speakers and performers. The event will commence with a powerful taonga puoro performance by Te Papa Researcher and NUKU //021 Dr. Amber Aranui.
We’ll then join founder and creator of NUKU Qiane Matata-Sipu, as she presents her self-published book, three years in the making.
It wouldn’t be a NUKU event without interesting kōrero, so there will be a live panel and guest speakers including //048 Ema Tavola and //058 Awatea Mita, with more guests to be announced.
Light refreshments provided.
Copies of the book will be available to purchase.
