IVY BLUE

BROKEN BLUE SKIES 2020

Ivy Blue is coming to America or the very first time in July 2020 to perform a small selection of shows of his Broken Blue Skies Tour. An evening of stories and songs filled with harsh truths and some sense of humor; this is a one-man show you don't want to miss. Only show in California for 2020. Don't miss out!

ABOUT THE SHOW:

The show sees alternative rock performer Ivy Blue performing a stripped version of his music as a solo musician while he follows his life story battling neurological disabilities and mental health issues while growing up in a country town in the heart of Waikato, New Zealand. This show is based on James's autobiography of the same name and directly reflects the mental health themes in the book and the storyline of the show. Set to light and video displays, this is a unique event that is not to be missed. Ideal for fans of Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Robbie Williams, and U2; using a similar format to Springsteen on Broadway and VH1 Storytellers.

ABOUT THE PERFORMER:

Ivy Blue (real name James Brodie) is an alternative musician from Te Aroha, New Zealand. Brodie performs live with a guitar, a loop-station, and two microphones. However, over the course of eight albums and an EP- Ivy Blue (along with his mysterious friends who play on his albums) has proven that his music is far-reaching and can relate to many walks of life.

From his debut EP "22A" through to his upcoming album "Still Running"; Ivy Blue has shown his skills in rock, pop, electronica, and alternative music, forming a back-catalog that is both varied and well-loved by his fan base; despite battling Autism and ADHD- neurological disorders that make him see the world through a different set of eyes. Despite this, Brodie is a man of few words and allows his music and amazing live shows to speak for him- with Brodie very rarely appearing in his own music videos and giving very few interviews to support his work, which is a testament to not only his varied back-catalog; but his subsequent success.

Ivy Blue's 5th studio album “Still Running”, will be released on New Year's Day 2020, with the remainder of his back-catalog set for remaster and re-release in 2020. On top of this, James is preparing to embark on a 2020 Tour, with a mix of festival and headline dates confirmed; and has released his autobiography “Broken Blue Skies”, out now. There are many more adventures that lie ahead of Ivy Blue on the long and broken roads; but this is not the end of the journey. Because Ivy Blue is only just getting warmed up.
