The Annual Conference of the Bibliographical Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc. will be held at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand from 21-22 November 2016 followed on 23 November with "BSANZ @ the Bay" a bus trip to Tauranga for Rare Book and Special Collection Librarians and Conference Attendees.
BSANZ 2016 showcases papers on the theme of local bibliography, with papers covering topics from 17th century mathematics text books through Katherine Mansfield’s notebooks to local cookbooks and New Zealand’s ‘zine’ culture, showing what uses local bibliographers can currently make of old and the newest media. BSANZ is hosted by the University of Waikato at its park-like campus in Hamilton, New Zealand. The conference begins Monday November 21 with a keynote address by Donald Kerr, Special Collections Librarian, University of Otago and bibliobiographer of Sir George Grey and T.M.Hocken and concludes Wednesday November 23 with "BSANZ @ the Bay", a trip to the Elms Mission Library in downtown Tauranga, 90 minutes from Hamilton.
