Learn how to create an award-winning photo with hair specialist Andrew Cobeldick and photographer Dave Richards.

This seminar is a photo competition and/or social media shoot mentorship.

Andrew will help you understand how to identify the key differences between a good photo and an exceptional photo, while you learn how to enjoy the production process of capturing high quality competition or Instagram worthy images guided by Dave.

Dave Richards first work experience as a photographer was at 15 for a local newspaper. Originally a two week learning opportunity, it spanned into a lasting and highly successful career.

Specialising in portrait, fashion and commercial images Dave has had the pleasure of working with names such as U2, Coca-Cola, Walt Disney and Sony.

This workshop will begin with a practical day where Andrew will demonstrate how to make the most of your client or model with techniques on how to position them and showcase their hair so that you can capture stunning photos either in salon or in a professional shoot.

You will then be mentored over a four-to-five-week period putting your theory into practise and culminating in a professional photo shoot, bringing your creative vision to life

Whether it is for your portfolio, social media, in-house advertising or a competition submission, you will not only learn the skills needed to create and take quality photo’s, you will also receive your top five raw images and one finished, retouch image.

During this seminar you will learn the art of:

· Creating a professional shoot.

· How to finish hair to take exceptional images

· Taking beautiful and luxurious images with your phone or camera

· Posing your model or client

· Showing the perfect profile

· Using light to your advantage

· Using your phone filters and many other tips & tools to streamline the process so you can create striking magazine ready images every time.

DAY 2 Monday 17 June

Practical shoot day with model. Andrew and Dave will be there to assist with final look, styling and model position.

Colour and cut must be completed ready to shoot prior to start time on day 2.
