Event description

What does courage look like for me?

Who am I as an authentic leader?

How do I continue to grow and develop?

This bespoke programme addresses where business owners and leaders, their teams, and their organisations often get stuck*:

  • Avoiding tough conversations including giving honest, productive feedback

  • Low trust caused a lack of connection, empathy, clarity and/or boundaries

  • Perfectionism, pleasing, and proving getting in the way of taking smart risks and sharing bold ideas

  • Defaulting to blame versus cultivating an intentional accountability and learning culture

  • Getting stuck and defined by setbacks, disappointments, and failures

  • Change, fear, and uncertainty driving disengagement and/or unproductive behaviour

*This is based on more than 13 years of research by Dr. Brené Brown.

You will dig deep:

  • Exploring the concepts of courage, shame, vulnerability and authenticity based on the groundbreaking work of Brené Brown

  • Identifying personal values and how they are honored (or not) in practice

  • Building personal awareness, understanding your impact and how you want to show up in the arenas that are important to you

  • Identifying new choices and practices to be brave and constructive in moving towards your goals

  • Growing your resilience in the face of adversity

  • Taking time to relax, reflect, refresh, make new connections, and grow

Included in the Programme Cost:

  • 1 individual introductory call pre the retreat to set intentions

  • bespoke weekend programme

  • 2 individual follow up coaching sessions

  • Friday night BBQ dinner, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.

The Daring WayTM is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

Further information is available at www.thedaringway.com.
