The Porirua Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Porirua City Council, is excited to bring you the next event in our BA5 series.
Taking place in June as part of Porirua Business Month, we are thrilled to have trailblazer and sporting icon, Barbara Kendall, host a range of Porirua businesses over drinks and nibbles.
Barbara made history being the first New Zealand female to compete in five Olympic Games, where she secured a gold medal in Barcelona (1992), a silver in Atlanta (1996), and a bronze in Sydney (2000). Her resilience in the face of challenges, disappointments, injuries, and gender discrimination, while navigating and juggling the complexities of motherhood are a testament to her commitment to excellence.
Drawing on experience from her illustrious career, Barbara will inspire and empower you, providing firsthand insight into how she maintained her competitive edge for 21 years.
