Come for the cake, stay for the conversation! Join us for a cozy, curious gathering where we dive into books that nourish the soul, spark reflection, and inspire meaningful dialogue. Over delicious slices (and maybe a second helping), we’ll share our thoughts, ideas, and the little sparks these books ignite in our hearts and minds.

We will be discussing the book: The Soul of Desire: Discovering the Neuroscience of Longing, Beauty and Community by Curt Thompson. We suggest reading the book before attending. There is also a podcast that follows the book called Being Known, season three.

Our chats go beyond the page as we explore how these books can enrich our ways of being and deepen our connections with ourselves, with each other, and with something bigger than ourselves. Whether you’re after lively discussion, gentle reflection, or simply a sweet treat shared with like minded souls, this is a space to connect, ponder, and be nourished inside and out.
