CANCELLED Essence to Essence - Reciprocity within Place as a Living Being

Nau Mai, Haere Mai

Living Future is delighted to host this highly engaging workshop, fresh from Living Future 18 Un-conference in Portland USA, and is ideal for architects, landscape architects, engineers, designers, planners, artists, business owners, and anyone working toward a just and flourishing future.

with Bill Reed of Regenesis Group - international leader in Regenerative Development and Caroline Robinson of Cabal - Founder, Artist and Regenerative Practitioner

Bill and Caroline will lead an experiential inquiry into whole living systems understandings and their practical application. Participants will explore the socio-ecological forces that shape places, and how essence-based understandings offer a powerful basis for reciprocity within community engagement, design and development processes. This exploration will include the role of the senses, higher-senses, story and paradox in generating new sources of potential and the alchemy of true regeneration.

The first premise is that each individual place on Earth has its own unique life-force, just as is true with individual people. The second premise is that in connecting to and working within the essence of a place, we relate to that place as a living being with her own identity, spirit and destiny.

The session will include case studies from Regenesis and Cabal, illustrating how working from essence-based understandings within place supports meaningful relationships and can deeply transform the way we conceptualize and execute development projects.

Places are limited to 60 people and the cost is $75 incl GST - please click here for registration. The workshop is 2 hours long. Tea and coffee will be available.

Dinner? Please join us for a shared meal after 'Essence to Essence', from 8pm – 9:30pm. Bring nourishing food and drink to share.

Blockhouse Bay Boat Club -aka 3BC- is located at the end of Endeavour St, at the southwest (seaward) arm of Blockhouse Bay Beach Reserve, over the tide. You walk (about 300 metres) around the edge of the bay's footpath from the car park to the Boat Club, which is wheelchair-accessible.

Please plan your journey, arriving by 5.45pm (with traffic at this time of day, it can take a little time to get to Blockhouse Bay)

Please let us know if you have an access needs it would be good for us to know about.
