About Bill and Nelson:

Bill is possibly one of the most well-known Angel Investors in the USA - previously referred to as the closest thing America has to an Entrepreneur Laureate. His angel investing history stretches back almost 30 years. In 2009 Bill was awarded the Hans Severiens Award, the highest award in angel investing in the US. It is awarded in memory of Hans Severiens, founder of the Band of Angels in Silicon Valley (1994) who died in 2004. The award honours individuals whose actions demonstrate leadership in advancing the role of angel investing, in expanding entrepreneurship, and whose accomplishments influence and benefit the angel investment industry. http://billpayne.com/

Nelson is recognized as one of the world’s pre-eminent experts in angel investment and early stage venture support. He blends a practical application of investment and company growth with an understanding of public policy at an international level. He is a qualified UK Financial Services Authority fund manager and has managed two early stage investment funds responsible for funding over 50 SMEs. A former Vice President of EBAN, the European Trade Association for Business Angels, he was their Business Angel of the Year in 2008. Recognised internationally as a “thought leader” he has delivered training and mentoring to entrepreneurs and angel investors in many counties, including Chile, India, Australia, and across Europe. In April 2015, Nelson was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion in recognition of his contributions to Scotland’s Angel investment market. http://nelsongray.com/
