6.25pm Split into business and technical talks

Presenter 1Carl Pavletich - FabLab
 
From prototyping to personal fabrication
 

Carl Pavletich is a co-founder of Fab Lab Chch, an innovation resource dedicated to providing enterprise and education access to the tools of invention, including open electronics and digital fabrication. As part of an international network spanning more than 1200 Labs worldwide, Fab Lab Chch is part of a global think tank exploring Industry 4.0 and its potential to localise production through the sharing of digital files, rather than the shipping of physical goods.   

From bike sensors measuring the cycling experience to shake tables that simulate New Zealand earthquakes, Carl will discuss how Fab Lab Chch uses education, access and persuasive technology to connect people with each other and the world around them.
