Description

The annual CanterburyTech Summit is the preeminent industry event of the year for the tech sector. This one-day conference hosts national and international speakers as well as a trade show area. The Tech Summit offers both aspirational and educational content and allows attendees to learn about new technology developments, have insight into success stories, and explore new business opportunities. The event also provides plenty of opportunity to network and share views, problems, and solutions with others working in your field.

GENERAL

Where is the Summit located?

How do I get to the venue?

Address – the Air Force Museum of New Zealand is located in the suburb of Wigram in Christchurch, just a 15 minute drive from either the CBD or the airport.

Parking – there is plenty of free parking available at the front of the Museum.

Taxis – are welcome to drop you off in the Museum car park. If you require a taxi pick up post-event we recommend you book this well in advance to avoid a long wait time.

Buses – the 80, 100 and Yellowline buses travel down Main South or Springs Road. Get off when you see the orange and silver Harvard aircraft on a pole, then walk for 200m down Harvard Avenue. If you get off at the bus stop on Springs Road around the corner, walk down Henry Wigram Drive, past Wigram Base (former RNZAF Officers’ Mess), until you get to Harvard Avenue. The Museum is straight across the road.

Is there food and drinks at the conference?

A light lunch, afternoon tea and canapes will be provided. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options will be catered for (on request).

Water stations are provided throughout the venue. Tea and coffee will be served at lunch and afternoon tea. Drinks will be provided at the networking function.

Is there somewhere to store my belongings?

A coat stand will be provided close to the reception desk. All valuables must be kept with you.

Will there be wifi?

Wifi will be available throughout the venue for the entirety of the conference.

TICKETS

What is a member ticket?

Member tickets are for individual or company Canterbury Tech Cluster members only. (Your membership fees must be up to date otherwise you will be required to pay for a full price ticket).

Member tickets are free until 31 July. From 1 August member tickets will be charged at the discounted price of $150.

Company member ticket allowance:

Platinum – up to 7 member tickets

Gold – up to 6 member tickets

Silver – up to 5 member tickets

Bronze – up to 3 member tickets

What happens if I become a Cluster member after 31 July 2017?

Any individual or company who joins the Canterbury Tech Cluster between 1 August and 14 September will be charged the discounted member ticket price of $150. Full price tickets are $350.

I have registered for my ticket, how do I get my pass?

To get your entrance pass please present your ticket at the registration desk (printed or displayed on your phone). Registration will open at 12:00 on 14 September.

What happens if you sell out?

Only 650 tickets are available. Once sold out a waitlist will be created.

Are there tickets at the door?

Tickets are not available at the door.

Are there discounted tickets for students?

Yes. Students can register for a discounted ticket of $30. Student ID will need to be emailed to summit@canterburytech.nz to confirm your ticket.

Can I change the name on my ticket?

Absolutely. You can click on the ticket URL and change the name right up to 48 hours before the event. After that, name change is not possible. Contact us if you have any problems.

Can I transfer my ticket to another person during the conference?

No, each ticket is valid to be used by one person only for the duration of the conference.

I can’t attend the Summit anymore. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately not. We have a strict no refunds policy but you can however reassign your ticket up to 48 hours prior to the event, and have someone else go in your place. Simply click on ticket URL link and change the name.
