Event description
Join our global community of creative frontrunners kicking off 2022 by looking into ways we can change the system from within, together.

About this event

Capitalism, Creativity & Me - An honest portrayal and an open conversation image

"It can feel like our creative skills are part of the problem; our words and images help companies to sell, persuade and distract. But it wasn’t supposed to be like this, didn’t we go to art school to subvert the system?

In the face of the climate crisis, I want my creativity to be used for more.

For justice, joy, care, imagination, community, and repair…"

In this session, art director and Creatives for Climate member Lizzie Reid will offer an honest and personal portrayal of her professional journey - critically examine a creative's role in capitalism and the climate crisis, and inviting members to offer their thoughts about similar realisations and challenges too.

Learn from people walking the talk on creative climate action - and step up to join us too.
