Event description

Description

Are you storing any personal Data from EU Citizens? Yes? This workshop is a MUST for you to attend.

All businesses that collect the personal data of EU data subjects must comply with the GDPR by 25 May 2018, whether your operations are based in NZ or the EU.

The EU institutions have recognised the increased cybersecurity risks posed to EU citizens worldwide, including identity theft and information misuse. In response, the EU has rolled out a new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which substantially enhances and expands previous restrictions and protections under EU law. The penalties for non-compliance are significant.

Chris Griggs will guide you through the new GDPR, indicating where it has changed from previous EU law and how it differs from New Zealand’s privacy law.
