Event Overview:
“What can I do with my degree?
…and will I like my job?”
First Chiasma event that kicks off 2022! It'll challenge the traditional application of STEM degrees and broaden students’ perspectives on what they can pursue after university.
With fears of the future and career anxiety at an all-time high among students, come along to ‘Chiasma Launch: Future Uncertainty’ to benefit from the diverse experiences of our speakers, hearing about the challenges and opportunities that lead them to a career they love.
Guest Speakers: Maria Jose Alvarez (MJ) & Tim McCready
Our speakers have experience as a tech startup founder, commercialisation manager and investment manager, as well as principal consultant, international MC and NZ Herald business commentator. They’ve worked in several fields such as venture capital, deep-tech, and the biotech, food, and nutraceuticals sectors.
Make informed decisions about your future by hearing what’s out there and have a crack at winning the evening’s grand prize!

About Chiasma:
Chiasma is a student-led organisation that bridges the gap between universities and the STEM industry. Our team of forward-thinking students organise events throughout the year to bring opportunities to you, including mentoring programmes and large-scale networking events with leaders in the STEM industry. Chiasma aims to provide a space that empowers students to seek out and create opportunities for themselves, their peers and for those who follow in their footsteps.
