Kate Sheppard lived in Christchurch when she led the world’s first successful campaign for women getting the vote. This is one of the most powerful stories of determination, change, and fight for justice and equality - and it all happened here in this remarkable heritage home.
You will be met by our visitor host who will introduce you to the mission. Then you will spend up to an hour exploring the house while filling out the activity sheet.

Parking:There is no parking on site. Park in the Clyde Pay & Display carpark, off University Drive or Arts Road (just a 2-minute walk to Kate Sheppard House). This carpark is free in the weekends.
