Event description

Description

What does Blockchain mean for the construction sector? Will it change how we manage building assets? How will distribution and supply be altered by new digital technologies?

This is the third in a series of workshops will take place throughout 2019 for industry. Participants have the opportunity to learn about blockchain (using lego) and think about use-cases where blockchain might benefit their business. This workshop is aimed primarily at people with non-technical backgrounds who want to explore the possibilities of Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies, to consider the potential for change and disruption, and the wealth of new scenarios and applications this technology might support. People skilled with technology may also benefit from involvement in the activity, especially if they are new to Blockchain, as this is more about opening up ideas on value rather than a technological explanation. In 2020 there is further opportunity for industry stakeholders to see specific use-cases partially realized in partnership with researchers at the University of Auckland.
