Come for some coffee, jam and meet your startup community!

About this event

Come to Coffee & Jam to hear stories from the startup founders themselves who are solving some of today's biggest problems around New Zealand and the World.

First, you'll hear from Kane Stewart, Founder at Egg Academy. Egg Academy is an educational venture that guides teenagers towards a successful future through their passion for gaming. Kane is also a board member of the Youth Hub, a significant facility in Christchurch to transform the lives of young people. He previously worked at a gaming company called Cerebral Fix and as a high school teacher. Kane will talk about how the education system is ripe for disruption.

Next we'll catch up with Neil Edmond, founder at MoneyTime. MoneyTime is a gamified online financial literacy program for 10-14 year olds. Neiol has a BCom/ LLB from Otago University and spent much of his career as a sales and marketing manager for SMEs. In 2018 he launched MoneyTime which is now used in nearly 700 schools through-out New Zealand. At this Coffee & Jam event, Neil will talk about the key factors for success in launching an edtech startup.
