About this event

Tip number one for participating in meetings - don't be like the guy in the photo!

Meetings are a big part of the work day for many of us. They are an opportunity to share, collaborate, problem solve and be part of something productive, even exciting. But they present challenges too.

This practical and interactive workshop will help to build communication skills that can be transferred to other situations.

  • The challenges and pitfalls many of us face in the meeting space
  • Looking confident and professional even when you don’t feel it!
  • Projecting presence and contributing effectively
  • Preparation – quick tips for a variety of meetings
  • How to build rapport and ask questions at the right time
  • Listening skills to check you are on the right track
  • Getting your views heard
  • Thinking on your feet – contribute on the spot
  • Tips for leading meetings
  • When meetings just aren't working

The workshop will have break-out rooms. To get the best outcome, please attend in-person rather than waiting for the recording.
