Construction Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) Workshop Auckland

As you will be aware, in August the Minister of Education announced funding for a Construction Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE).

We’ll be inviting expressions of interest from groups wanting to form a Construction CoVE

The expression of interest process will open in December, but prior to this we’re asking interested groups how a Construction CoVE can add the most value to the vocational education system. We want to hear from industry experts and employers, vocational education groups (ITPs, ITOs and PTEs), iwi, researchers and peak bodies about the issues and opportunities that a Construction CoVE could address.

Please join us at a workshop and share your views. We’re holding three workshops around the country and we’d be pleased if you would join us at the location most convenient for you.

Each workshop will provide an overview of CoVEs and the selection process. Then we’ll focus on participants’ views of the key sector issues, what the Construction CoVE should cover and who should be involved. Following the workshops we will publish a summary of the discussion on our website at this page.

We are aware of other meetings and workshops being set up by interested parties. We’ll also be attending those to hear the conversation and share information about the process.
