Gain access to the Create and Maker Space

To use the Create and Maker Space and access all the exciting tools, technology and machinery, you need to complete a short process covering our health and safetey requirements and code of conduct. Equipment training is provided (and necessary) before you can use certain items – check out what’s on for training options.

Gaining access to the Create and Maker Space is easy! Be sure to read the Code of Conduct and take the online quiz (based on the Code of Conduct) – achieving 13/15 to pass, and you're good to go!

You’re then free to book on your preferred equipment training sessions and start using the Create and Maker Space to unleash your potential and create what you imagine!


Please note that all Unleash Space sessions and events are only open to current University of Auckland staff and students.

University of Auckland staff and students are invited to create, play, make, invent, experiment and do, in a supportive and fun environment that provides you with all the right tools, training and inspiration you need to unleash your potential.

Unleash Space is free for staff and students from all faculties at The University of Auckland!

For aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs who sign up to join the Unleash Space community, there are workshops, meeting spaces, brainstorming spaces, experts and inspiration to work on your projects and ventures.

For makers, creators, builders, fabricators and designers who become a member, there is a Maker Space with 3D printers, laser cutters, and much more, including equipment training.
