About this event

  • Event lasts 45 minutes

Over 40% of complaints to the ASA last year were about misleading ads.

Consumers complain for several reasons – for example, when ads don’t include adequate fine print, exaggerate claims or omit key information.

This webinar will provide you with the knowledge and tools to avoid misleading your audience and help ensure your ads comply with the New Zealand Advertising Codes.

The session runs for 45 minutes and will be held as a Zoom Webinar.

Join us at 2pm, Wednesday 23 July to learn about:

  • Common mistakes with pricing and product claims and how to avoid them
  • How to ensure fine print and disclaimers are clear to consumers
  • Comparative marketing: best practices when comparing your products to competitors
  • Understanding consumer takeout – the difference between what you intend to say, and how the consumer might interpret your claims.
  • Factors considered by the Complaints Board when considering complaints
