Event description
For year 12 or year 13 students interested in design, fine arts or photography.

About this Event

Our first Creative Bootcamp combines virtual sessions which you can participate in from the comfort of your home. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and learn from some of our fantastic design, fine arts and photography staff and do an online workshop, as well as create some amazing work. We’ll send you a creative kit with everything you need to participate in Creative Bootcamp from home.

Don’t forget that you are welcome to come on campus and have a look around at our facilities through a guided tour at specific dates throughout the year. Book a tour at https://creative.massey.ac.nz/visit/tours/

HOW IT WORKS

1. Get registered. Choose ONE workshop.

Simply register for your chosen workshop through Eventbrite.

2. You will receive a confirmation of your attendance in the workshop. Because numbers are limited in each workshop, we suggest you register as soon as you can. If you have been accepted into a workshop but are no longer able to attend, please let us know so we can provide a space to anyone who is on our waitlist.

3. A creative kit will be couriered to you the week before the Bootcamp begins. We will also email you instructions of how to join each workshop online. In your creative kit you will receive items that you will need to use in your workshop.

4. Before the Bootcamp you will also receive reminder emails and we’ll check that you are still able to attend.

5. The Bootcamp will start on Tuesday 14 July and depending on the workshop you choose, these will run across two or three days. You will receive a welcome from our staff and an introduction to complete a creative challenge. You will not be online all day. The Bootcamp will have times when you engage with staff through Zoom and also times when you will be working on your creative challenge from home. You’ll also have the opportunity to discuss with staff what it is like studying here at the College of Creative Arts, Massey University. Each of the groups will be small in size so that we can give you personalised attention and get to know you.

6. If you are doing the same workshop with a group of friends, get them together to enjoy the workshop in a group.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need the Zoom App installed on a laptop, computer or phone.
